The three-year-old was an impressive winner on debut over a mile and a quarter on Newmarket’s July course and followed that up with another dominant success at Windsor earlier this month. Without Prejudice is now stepped up to a mile and a half for the first time in the Group Three Princess Royal Stakes, which is almost certain to suit this half-sister to Oaks runner-up and Coronation Cup victor Emily Upjohn.

Ben Pauling’s gelding claimed comfortable victories at Stratford and Fontwell prior to a recent course-and-distance second to the quirky but classy Crebilly and appears well placed to go well once more.

14:25 NEWMARKET – SPIRITED GESTURE (NAP) @ 7/4
John and Thady Gosden’s filly made an eye-catching racecourse bow on the Rowley Mile at the beginning of August, coming home two and a quarter lengths clear of the field. Spirited Gesture was just as impressive next time out on the all-weather at Newcastle , shaken up a furlong from home and soon putting the race to bed, galloping clear to a three-length success.
This first crack at Pattern company in the Group Two Rockfel Stakes is the obvious next step for the daughter of Kingman and she can complete a hat-trick before a possible elite-level tilt back at HQ in the Fillies’ Mile.

14:40 WORCESTER – DOWN TO BUSINESS @ 9/2
Dan Skelton is closing in on 100 winners for the season before the National Hunt campaign even gets into full swing and this well-bred four-year-old looked one to follow when scoring readily here last month on his first start since a wind operation.

15:00 NEWMARKET – TALK OF NEW YORK @ 4/6
Charlie Appleby’s stable is in red-hot form and this likeable son of Wootton Bassett can maintain that purple patch in the Group Two Joel Stakes.
Talk Of New York secured emphatic victories at this track and Sandown before finishing a fine third at the highest level in Royal Ascot’s St James’s Palace Stakes , coming home under two lengths adrift of Bow Echo and Gstaad . He then let odds-on backers down when beaten by half a length against Shayem at Goodwood but has since been given a nice break to get back on track.

15:35 NEWMARKET – FORTITUDINE @ 5/2
This full-brother to Appleby’s globetrotting superstar Rebel’s Romance is taken to keep his unbeaten record intact in the Godolphin Stakes . The Dubawi gelding made a remarkable debut on the all-weather in a Kempton novice when routing the field by 21 lengths in August.
Fortitudine’s second success at the Sunbury circuit was more workmanlike but he was never in danger and can take another step forward now raised in both trip and grade.
