Forfeit Stage Shifts Market For Easter Monday Spectacle
The betting for the BOYLE Sports Irish Grand National has been shaken up following the latest forfeit stage on Wednesday, with punters honing in on the leading contenders for the Easter Monday showpiece at Fairyhouse Racecourse. It’s an English raider who tops the new look market as The Jukebox Kid has been backed into 8/1 favourite for the richest race on the Irish jumps calendar for trainer Ben Pauling, having opened up twice the price at 16/1 when entries were first revealed.
On the home front, C'est Ta Chance has also been the subject of sustained support, with his profile boosted by two wins from two outings this year at Gowran Park and Thurles. The Willie Mullins-trained contender is now a 12/1 shot (from 20/1) and the Closutton maestro is also responsible for the current second favourite Argento Boy, who is a 9/1 chance to take the lion’s share of the €500,000 prize pot.
