Sawyer has also reflected on how Arsenal "wilted it" at the penultimate attempt to earn Champions League football.

“Tottenham have ended the season exactly how they would want to. They handled the pressure brilliantly," says Sawyer.
"They are unbeaten in their last five and unbeaten in their last four away games. I do think it all points to Spurs getting enough done at Carrow Road to seal their fourth spot.
“Arsenal wilted at the wrong time. You could point to the fact they have an incredible young side, but you could also argue that it’s not as if they are young players that have never played in the top flight.
"A lot of these players are playing international football even at a young age but unfortunately these young players go through a rollercoaster.
“They will have good and bad days. Maybe they didn’t have the right blend of experience, but they did have it in their own hands and ultimately, I think that Arsenal did bottle it unfortunately.
"To finish fifth with this incredibly young side is still an impressive season. What I will come back to though is that they had a season with no distractions. They could have finished in the Champions League placings, and it has all gone wrong for them.”
