Heather Humphreys is the new frontrunner to replace Frances Fitzgerald as the Tánaiste after we reopened betting following the market being suspended on Tuesday evening off the back of hefty bets.
Punters initially latched onto Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Simon Coveney, following confirmation that Fitzgerald would be vacating the position at lunchtime on Tuesday.
However as the dust of Tuesday settles, Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Heather Humphreys is now the 11/8 favourite.
It is a massive shake up in the betting as Humphreys' odds have been slashed in from 16/1, whilst Coveney has been eased right out the 15/8 second favourite.
