Former footballer flops in Glitterball betting.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s upcoming stint on Strictly Come Dancing will be short-lived if the betting is anything to go by, as he is set to take to the dancefloor as a 25/1 outsider according to BOYLE Sports.
Fifteen new celebs have signed up to hit the ballroom next month, but the former Chelsea star could be feeling the blues early doors as he finds himself near the bottom of the league in the early betting stakes.
The football theme doesn’t end there, with Lioness-turned-TV pundit Karen Carney hot on the heels of the favourites at 8/1.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BOYLE Sports, said:
“Karen Carney could have the bragging among the sports stars as her footwork is being backed to translate to the dancefloor, but punters seem to be expecting an early red card for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.”
Instead, punters are turning to the soaps to produce the glitterball winner yet again, with former Emmerdale star Lewis Cope emerging as the early 10/3 favourite to follow in the footsteps of Kelvin Fletcher, who swapped the Yorkshire dales for dancefloor glory in 2019.
Ellie Goldstein, the first model with Down Syndrome to grace the cover of British Vogue, is also fancied to compete for the glitterball and shares the second favourite tag with Love Island winner and football WAG Dani Dyer at 4/1.
