Moyes and Van Nistelrooy also in the hunt for Foxes

Potter Premier Return Imminent?

Graham Potter is the 11/8 favourite with BoyleSports in a competitive betting heat to replace Steve Cooper as the next permanent manager at Leicester City.

The Foxes parted company with Cooper on Sunday after their 2-1 defeat at home to Chelsea left them without a win in five consecutive games in all competitions, and just one point above the relegation zone in the Premier League.

Moyes Also In The Mix

Attention has quickly turned to who will fill the vacancy and while Potter is considered the leading candidate, David Moyes is close behind in the betting at 7/4, an appointment which could throw up a home debut for the Scot against former employers West Ham at the start of next month.

Ruud van Nistelrooy, who recently recorded two victories over Leicester in his temporary spell in charge of Manchester United, is 11/4 third favourite.

Long-Shot Carsley?

Outgoing England caretaker Lee Carsley is a 20/1 shot, while there has been some early support for former Foxes striker Mark Robins at 16/1 following his shock exit from Coventry City.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said:

“Leicester City aren’t short of available options in their hunt for a new boss and it looks like a very lively race for the hotseat, with Graham Potter slightly ahead going by the betting patterns so far.”
