World number one Scottie Scheffler predictably heads the FedEx St Jude Championship betting at 5/2 following his Open triumph and does have solid course form, having finished fourth here last year.
However, 12/1 second favourite Xander Schauffele may just be that little bit hungrier, as he currently sits outside of the top 30 in the FedEx Cup standings and so needs a strong performance to boost his Tour Championship prospects.
Following a slow start to the season, the American has been consistent in most of the bigger events, finishing T8 in the Masters and T12 in the US Open.
His recent form in Britain reads well, posting a T8 placing in the Scottish Open before going one better at Royal Portrush.
Schauffele closed with a 63 to finish as the runner-up here 12 months ago and has a history of coming on strong in the playoffs.

Open runner-up Harris English continues to fly under the radar despite a fine run of results in 2025 and has to enter calculations at 25/1, especially with BOYLE Sports paying out to 10 places.
That Royal Portrush effort was a fourth top-10 berth of the season for a man who landed a Farmers Insurance Open success, was second in the US PGA Championship and fourth in the Travelers Championship.
English also has fond memories of Memphis, having broken his duck on the PGA Tour with victory in the 2013 FedEx St Jude Classic.
Matt Fitzpatrick
Britain's Matt Fitzpatrick is another with obvious claims at 18/1 due to a recent hot streak.
After finishing T8 in the Rocket Classic, he was T4 in both the Scottish Open and the Open, before maintaining that momentum with another T8 at the Wyndham Championship.
All told, 17 of his last 18 rounds have been below 70 and three previous top-six finishes at TPC Southwind only adds to the appeal.
With Rory McIlroy absent, Fitzpatrick is 7/2 second favourite behind Tommy Fleetwood to be this week's top UK or Irish player.
