The favourite for the opener in Galway is My Great Mate for the most prolific duo in Horse Racing jockey Paul Townend and trainer W P Mullins. Following a second at Punchestown last month a drop-in class here puts the horse with a 6/5 chance of landing this race. Uncle Pat for jockey Brian Hayes and trainer W P Mullins is highly thought of at odds of 4/1.

Third favourite for this race is Where’s My Jet who is again trained by W P Mullins and will be saddled by Danny Mullins who came 4th here last year and is a 15/2 chance. Bar is 9/1.

17:25 - 2m6½f Tote, Never Beaten By SP Handicap Hurdle (4yo+)

Favourite for this Handicap Hurdle is Poaggane who will be ridden by Paul Townend and trained by W P Mullins at odds of 4/1. The horse won its maiden hurdle earlier in the year and last time out won a novice hurdle at Kilbeggan.

The horses expect to go closest to the favourite is So They Tell Me at odds of 6/1 who is trained by Padraig Roche who will be ridden by Mark Walsh. The horse won at Punchestown last month and is up 7lbs in weight as a result. Bar is 15/2.

18:00 - 2m½f Tote Where's Danny Irish EBF Mares Handicap Hurdle (4yo+)

Ahead of the third race at Galway today, the heavy favourite for this Mare’s Handicap Hurdle is Enfranchise at odds of 2/1 who is trained by John Joseph O’Hanlon and will be ridden by Danny Mullins. This horse only ran on the flat last Monday but has a winning form here over hurdles 12 months ago.

Per the latest odds with BoyleSports, the second favourite is She’s A Fine Wine for the team of Henry De Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore at odds of 9/2 who from 7 outings has only been outside the top three twice. Bar is 9/1.

Per the latest odds at BoyleSports, we’ve two horses currently fighting for favouritism ahead of this Maidan race. The current market leader is Redwood Queen at odds of 2/1 for trainer C Byrnes and jockey Mr R W Barron who has won four of his last five Hurdles since May.

The second favourite is Man of Worth for trainer D K Weld and jockey Finney Maguire is 5/2 and ran well in Sligo to come second last May. Elsewhere Alfheim is a 4/1 shot for trainer Mrs John Harrington and jockey Mr D Doyle. Bar is 7/1.

Favourite for this Handicap Chase is Perceval Legallois at odds of 4/1 who is trained by Gavin Cromwell and will be ridden by Mark Walsh. Last May the horse came second at Punchestown and so has risen 5lbs in the weights

The second favourite is Zanahiyr at odds of 11/2 for the prolific duo of trainer Gordon Elliot and jockey Jack Kennedy who looks to be well handicapped here following two disappointing outings at Cheltenham and Fairyhouse last March. Bar is 6/1

Thor’s Hammer is the current favourite for this race at odds of 4/1 to land success for trainer J P Murtagh and jockey Ben Coen. This horse went close in its most recent run at the Curragh and won in Killarney last May, could go close here.

Cornahilt Soldier is the current second favourite at odds of 5/1 for trainer Kevin Michael Smith who has struggled recently due to a 12lb rise in the handicaps but is taking a step back in trip here. Bar is 11/2

Ahead of the final race on Wednesday at the Galway Races, this is arguably the most competitive race on the card with several horses having claims to success but no blindingly obvious “stand out” name.

The narrow favourite per the latest odds at BoyleSports is Stormbreaker at odds of 9/2 for trainer W P Mullins and jockey Colin Keane who is returning to races for the first time since October 2022. Second favourite is How About No for trainer Joseph Patrick O’Brien and jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle who was third at the Curragh last month and is priced at 11/2. Bar is 7/1,
