The six-time All-Ireland winner was spoke to BoyleSports in advance of Saturday’s clash and is predicting over 2.5 goals in the match, a 10/1 first goalscorer and a 16/1 Man of the Match. Take a look below.

He said: “I can’t look past Kerry here. We know Cork beat them a couple of years ago in a Munster Championship game and no one seen it coming, they were a huge price. Cork just nicked it then with a goal to draw the game and then beat them in extra time.”

“This Kerry side this year look phenomenal. They have an abundance of riches and plenty to come off the bench still. They blew everybody out of the water in the National League, they were putting up huge scores and I don’t think this Cork side could live with that. This Munster Championship is theirs to lose. I can’t look past Kerry here and I like the handicap of -12 at 5/6.”

“Cork caught them on the hop a couple of years ago, but it’s all about standards and this Kerry side have learned from that; I don’t think they’re going to take their eye off the ball this year. They’re too far down the road and too smart for that.”

First Goalscorer

“Someone that I was very impressed with in the league final was Stephen O’Brien. He is staying in close to the goal this year and he is one of those guys with a low centre of gravity. He is some man to take on a guy and I fancy him to score the first goal at 10/1.”

Man of the Match

“Dara Moynihan is a guy I have been watching very closely. He was unbelievable against Mayo in the league final and everything that he touched something positive came out of it. He is a huge price at 16/1 to get Man of the Match. If he gets a good start and gets a few points on the board and David Clifford maybe has an off day, then Dara could be the one to go for.”

CAVAN V DONEGAL - ULSTER SFC

Connolly believes Donegal will have revenge on their minds when they face Cavan in the Ulster SFC semi-final at Clones.

The Breffni men pulled off a huge upset when beating odds-on favourites Donegal in the 2020 Ulster decider, but Connolly told BoyleSports this week that a repeat is unlikely on Sunday as Declan Bonner’s men target a fourth provincial final in five years.

?️ "The Ulster Final defeat against Cavan will be front and centre of Donegal’s minds and I don’t think they’ll let that happen again!"

Connolly said: “The Ulster Final defeat against Cavan will be front and centre of Donegal’s minds and I don’t think they’ll let that happen again."

“Donegal put Armagh to the sword very convincingly with a huge score. They are starting build a bit of momentum and Armagh were the form team in the league early on."

"But Donegal were seven-point winners and I don’t think this Cavan side are of the same calibre of opposition, even though they put up 1-20 against Antrim, who are an up and coming team too."

“I’ve been very impressed with Patrick McBrearty. He looks the player he was five years ago and with Michael Murphy inside they are very potent. Murphy is the consistent guy for Donegal and he will probably take the penalties, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he got the first goal.”
