The most likely driver to prevent Lando Norris from winning his second successive race of the season is fellow McLaren teammate rising star Oscar Piastri (23)

Piastri had a breakthrough year on the circuit last season securing maiden wins on the tour at both the Hungarian Grand Prix and the Azerbaijan Grand Prix he finished the season finishing 4th in the Drivers Championship five places higher than his debut season in 2023.

Max Verstappen – 13/2

The third favourite for the Chinese Grand Prix is Max Verstappen (27) who has won the Drivers Championship for four consecutive seasons with Red Bull since 2021

Despite a close to half a decade of dominance on the circuit ahead of the season Red Bull were expected to struggle to retain the Drivers Championship and even more so to compete for the Constructors Championship with the Red Bull car finishing fourth fastest in pre-season testing behind McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari.

Verstappen finished second in the Australian Grand Prix after fighting Norris and Piastri for the lead in wet conditions. At the Chinese Grand Prix last year he earned pole position before going on to win the race ahead of Norris.
