Rose of Tralee Also In Step With Judges
Eric Roberts has skipped his way to the top of the betting to be crowned champion in the new series of Dancing with the Stars.
The Ireland AM presenter and TikTok star impressed judges on the opening night with a lively Jive that scored 29 points and his confident start has clearly caught the eye of punters, who quickly backed him into 13/8 favourite for the glitterball trophy.
However, Roberts was edged out on the leaderboard by reigning Rose of Tralee Katelyn Cummins, who now sits as second favourite at 15/8 after her opening Tango topped the tallies.
It was a tougher opening night for Eurovision legend Niamh Kavanagh and The Traitors star Paudie Moloney, who are currently friendless in the betting after finding themselves at the wrong end of the leaderboard.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BOYLE Sports, said:
“Eric Roberts really hit the right steps on opening night, and punters were quick to follow his lead. Katelyn Cummins is hot on his heels, though, and it looks like we have a tightly choreographe battle in store.”
