Manchester City are now 4/6 outright favourites with BOYLE Sports to lift a seventh Premier League title in nine years under Pep Guardiola after winning their crunch clash with Arsenal . Goals from Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland , either side of Kai Havertz’s equaliser, saw in-form City run out 2-1 winners at the Etihad , and they are now just three points behind the leaders with a game in hand.

City , who have now won seven of the 10 league games since their last defeat, can go top with a victory at second-bottom Burnley on Wednesday. Arsenal have held first place for 206 days this season, compared to just six for City , but have dropped to 6/5 to end their 22-year title wait in the coming weeks after suffering back-to-back defeats.

Mikel Arteta’s Gunners have five league games left, hosting Newcastle , Fulham and Burnley , and travelling to London rivals West Ham and Crystal Palace. City’s remaining six fixtures also look favourable and include only one against a team in the top six, with their final home match coming against fourth-placed Aston Villa .

Both Arsenal and City also have cup competitions to contend with, facing Atletico Madrid and Southampton in the semi-finals of the Champions League and FA Cup , respectively, but it is Guardiola’s troops who now hold the destiny of the Premier League title in their hands. Arteta , whose side currently have a goal difference advantage of one over City but could see that disappear on Wednesday, said: “It's a new league now. They were a game in hand. We have three points of advantage and five games to play. So everything is still to play for.  “We know how much we want it and we're not going to stop, and we're going to go again, that's for sure.”

United strengthen grip on top-four spot

Manchester United, 12 points behind Arsenal , are 750/1 to pip the top two to first place but are 1/9 with BOYLE Sports to finish in the Top 4. Matheus Cunha's winner saw the third-placed Red Devils edge past Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge to put a 10-point buffer between themselves and Liam Rosenior’s struggling side, who are sixth and now 40/1 to get into the top four.

Aston Villa are 4/9 after remaining fourth, level on points with United , thanks to their thrilling 4-3 win over Sunderland . Liverpool also boosted their hopes of ending the season in the top four after a similarly dramatic 2-1 derby win at Everton , where Virgil van Dijk scored the winner deep into stoppage time. The Reds are three points behind United and Villa in fifth.

With only five games left for most teams and at least a 10-point gap to make it, Everton (150/1), Bournemouth (200/1), Brentford (200/1) and Brighton (250/1) are firm outsiders to finish in the top four.
