Only four players have finished top of the single-season scoring charts more times than Haaland in English top-flight history. Jimmy Greaves (six) and Steve Boomer (five) lead the way just ahead of Thierry Henry and Mohamed Salah , who have each won the Premier League Golden Boot a record four times.
Haaland already has three in his collection after notching 27 times last season to go with his success in 2023-24 (27 goals) and his debut campaign in 2022-23, when he struck a Premier League -record 36 times.
If he remains fit and continues in England , it seems inevitable the 26-year-old Norway striker will break every major Premier League scoring record, and a fourth Golden Boot this coming season appears his to lose.
Alexander Isak

Isak has proven himself capable of pushing Haaland in the scoring charts, finishing third in 2023-24 with 21 goals and second the following season, behind Salah , thanks to a 23-goal haul.
However, having joined Salah at Liverpool in a record-breaking £125million deal from Newcastle last summer, Isak saw his 2025-26 campaign wrecked by a loss of form and then injury.
The 26-year-old Sweden striker scored only four times in his debut campaign at Anfield but he now looks fit again, playing almost every minute of his country's World Cup campaign, and will be hoping for better under new Reds boss Andoni Iraola.

Thiago more than made up for lost time at Brentford last season and was a surprise runner-up in the Golden Boot running, five behind Haaland and five ahead of third-placed Antoine Semenyo.
Thiago joined Brentford for an undisclosed club-record fee from Club Brugge in the summer of 2024 but his first season in England was ruined by injuries and he finished with just eight appearances and no goals. But he was one of the hits of last term, opening his Bees account in their first match against Nottingham Forest and going on to notch 22 times in the league alone, with Liverpool and Manchester United among his victims.
That helped earn the 26-year-old a place in the Brazil World Cup squad for this summer and the penalty king - he scored 11 spot-kicks for club and country last term - will look to go from strength to strength over the next 12 months.
Ollie Watkins

The England international has been a consistent Premier League scorer since joining Aston Villa from Brentford in 2020, reaching double figures in all six seasons with a high of 19 goals in 2023-24. His winner against Bournemouth in May 2025 was his 75th in the league for Villa and saw him replace Gabriel Agbonlahor as the club’s all-time record Premier League scorer.
However, he has not always been an automatic first-choice selection under Unai Emery and was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United 12 months ago before remaining at Villa Park .
Watkins finished last season strongly for the Europa League winners as he won a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad, and although he made only two appearances in North America , the 30-year-old is sure to be back among the leading English Premier League scorers this coming season.
