Coventry vs Fulham
Coventry to draw with Fulham and BTTS @ 16/5
Fulham will look to follow up their first league win of the season and climb out of the relegation zone when they go to fellow strugglers Coventry . Alex Iwobi’s first-half goal against Hull last weekend saw Fulham finally taste league success under new boss Alvaro Arbeloa and they will be eager to now double up against another promoted side .
Coventry are one point and one place better off than the third-bottom Cottagers but saw their bid for a third successive win ended by a 3-1 loss at Spurs on Monday . Frank Lampard’s side have yet to draw in nine league and cup matches this season but that record could end this weekend.
Crystal Palace vs Newcastle
Crystal Palace to beat Newcastle 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 @ 4/1
Palace may feel they owe fans a big performance following last weekend’s derby demolition by Brighton when they return to Selhurst Park for the first time in three weeks. Since their last home match, Palace have picked up just one point from European trips to Lyon and Besiktas but it is last Sunday’s clash against the Seagulls which really hurt the Eagles and new boss Pierre Sage , with their arch-rivals running out 5-0 winners .
Newcastle are next up for Palace, and the Magpies are in need of a good performance themselves with pressure also building on their new manager Matthias Jaissle . However, current form and history are against Newcastle . They have lost three of their last four games , including 4-1 away defeats to Leeds and Coventry , while they have only won once at Selhurst Park in 12 years .
Hull vs Brentford
Hull to draw with Brentford @ 3/1
Brentford will seek to bounce back from their first defeat of the campaign when they travel to a Hull side who are without a win in six matches in all competitions. Keith Andrews ’ men took the lead against Liverpool last Saturday but the dismissal of Yehor Yarmoliuk on the stroke of half-time proved key, with the Reds rallying to claim a 2-1 win.
The Bees, who finished with nine men after also having Vitaly Janelt sent off, are still sixth in the Premier League but could drop out of the top 10 if results go against them this weekend.
Hull are one of the sides who would climb above the Londoners with a win , but they have found victories impossible to come by since beating Manchester United and Coventry in their opening two league games. The promoted Tigers have been hard to defeat themselves however, with four of their nine games this term finishing in draws and their three losses being either 1-0 or 2-1.
