Leeds vs Burnley

Leeds to beat Burnley with BTTS @ 2/1

Leeds should take another huge step towards survival on Friday night when they host already-relegated Burnley in a battle between last season’s Championship top dogs.

An unbeaten five-match league run has seen Daniel Farke’s side move six points clear of third-bottom Spurs, and they will hope to extend that gap further before they travel to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next weekend.

Burnley finished level on 100 points with title-winning Leeds last season and have picked up seven points without conceding a goal from their last three meetings with the West Yorkshire outfit.

However, the Clarets are on a run of seven defeats in nine games since their last Premier League win and could go bottom if results go against them this weekend, with manager Scott Parker also leaving the club by mutual consent.

Newcastle vs Brighton

Newcastle to draw with Brighton @ 5/2

A clash with high-flying Brighton is not what under-pressure Newcastle boss Eddie Howe would have chosen to try and end the Magpies’ poor form.

Whereas Newcastle are on a five-game losing streak in all competitions, the Seagulls head north having climbed to sixth in the Premier League after picking up 19 points from a possible 24 since mid-February.

Brighton also have an impressive recent record against Newcastle , winning four of their last six meetings, including back-to-back wins at St James’ Park while drawing the other two.

Wolves vs Sunderland

Wolves to draw with Sunderland @ 23/10

Wolves will be hoping Sunderland’s defence have another off day as the Premier League’s bottom club chase only their fourth win of the season. The Black Cats have shipped nine goals in losing to Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest in their last two matches, having only conceded seven in their previous nine outings.

History suggests Wolves will not be following in the footsteps of their Midlands rivals, though.

The Molineux men have scored only 24 Premier League goals this season, 10 fewer than any other team, while they have drawn blanks in their last four meetings with Sunderland .

Bournemouth vs Palace

Bournemouth to draw with Crystal Palace @ 3/1

Bournemouth fans may need to brace themselves for another frustrating afternoon in their hopes of a top-six finish as Andoni Iraola’s draw specialists host Crystal Palace . Leeds’ late leveller in last week's 2-2 draw at the Vitality Stadium meant Bournemouth had to settle for a sixth draw in their last eight games and fifth on the trot at home.

The Dorset side have now tied 16 of their 34 league games this season, and with Palace having drawn 10, including two of their last four, this could be another stalemate.

If that wasn’t a compelling enough case, the last three meetings between these two have also finished with honours even, including a 3-3 thriller at Selhurst Park in October.

Aston Villa vs Spurs

Aston Villa to beat Spurs 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 @ 5/2

Tottenham return to the West Midlands having boosted their survival hopes against relegated Wolves last time out, but Europa League semi-finalists Aston Villa pose a much tougher proposition for Roberto De Zerbi’s side.

Joao Palhinha’s late winner at Molineux earned Spurs a first league win of 2026 and kept them within two points of West Ham in 17th, while they can also take heart from seeing Villa’s impressive recent form end in a 1-0 defeat at Fulham last Saturday.

Spurs have lost on three of their last four visits to Villa, but had previously found Villa Park a very happy hunting ground, winning 11 of 13 matches without tasting defeat. They have also claimed four 4-0 wins at Villa since 2012.
