Brighton’s brilliant run could come under threat on Sunday when they host arch-rivals Crystal Palace , who have taken 10 points from a possible 12 off the Seagulls over the last two seasons. Fabian Hurzeler’s side have won their last five matches, four with clean sheets, and have only lost once in 10 fixtures so far this season. They have beaten Arsenal and Manchester United in their current winning streak, and brushed aside Kauno Zalgiris 4-0 in the Conference League on Thursday.
Palace suffered a defeat on the continent in midweek, going down 3-2 to Lyon in the Europa League , but had been in decent form themselves before that. They had won four of six matches since starting the season with back-to-back defeats under new boss Pierre Sage. The Eagles have won on their last two visits to the Amex , with Ismaila Sarr netting three of his side’s four goals in those matches.
