Chelsea , who have continued their summer recruitment with the recent signings of Danny Welbeck and Valentin Barco , now face a Juve side looking to recapture past glories under Luciano Spalletti. The ' Old Lady ' have been Italian champions a record 36 times but have not won Serie A since 2020 and last season finished down in sixth.

Juventus have played three summer friendlies and remain unbeaten, but the quality of opposition ramps up this week with games against Chelsea and Inter Milan . Spalletti’s side started off with a 0-0 draw against Basel , Juve keeper Mattia Perin saving a second-half penalty - before defeating Standard Liege 1-0 thanks to a Fabio Miretti goal.

The Bianconeri have brought in forwards Randal Kolo Muani and Bosnia teenager Kerim Alajbegovic over the last few days in a bid to increase their attacking threat, and both players are available to Spalletti.
