In this post you can see the main market contenders ahead of the Champions League quarter-finals.
Arsenal
Can Arsenal make most of favourable draw?
Arsenal’s odds of winning the Champions League have been cut to 9/4 with BOYLE Sports ahead of a mouthwatering quarter-final line-up in which the Gunners have, on paper, the easiest tie. The north Londoners have never been European champions, but the stars could be aligning in what has been a phenomenal season so far for Mikel Arteta’s men, despite seeing their quadruple hopes ended by Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
In the Champions League , they have won nine of their 10 matches, drawing the other, and conceded just five goals, beating the likes of Bayern Munich , Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan before seeing off Bayer Leverkusen in the last 16. They now face a last-eight showdown against a Sporting Lisbon side who are 50/1 long shots to win the competition.
Arsenal should be too strong for the Portuguese outfit, who overturned a 3-0 first-leg deficit against Bodo/Glimt to beat the Norwegian minnows 5-3 in the previous round, but the other quarter-final ties look much harder to predict.
Barcelona vs Atlético Madrid
Barca and Atletico look to reign in Spain
In Arsenal’s side of the draw, Barcelona face Atletico , which could be another humdinger between the two Spanish rivals.
They recently met in the Copa del Rey semi-finals when Atletico survived a huge scare to progress through 4-3 on aggregate, having led 4-0 from the first leg, while Barcelona won 5-4 on aggregate at the same stage of the same competition last season.
Barcelona are 9/2 third-favourites to win a sixth Champions League title in May, while Atletico , bridesmaids in 1974, 2014 and 2016 but never the brides, are 20/1 to claim their first.
Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich
Barnstorming Bayern braced for Real test
The other side of the draw is a who’s who of European Cup aristocracy, with 28 titles between them - including 10 of the last 13 winners. The pick of the ties is Real Madrid’s clash with Bayern Munich , while the other encounter pits holders Paris St Germain against Premier League champions Liverpool .
Real remained on course for a record-extending 16th European Cup title after beating 2023 champions Manchester City 5-1 on aggregate in the last 16 despite being without a host of key players. They are still 7/1 to win the competition, reflecting the difficulty of their path ahead, while Bayern are 3/1 second-favourites.
Vincent Kompany’s Bayern hammered Atalanta 10-2 over two legs to reach the quarter-finals and have now won 36 of 42 matches this season, losing only to Arsenal and Augsburg .
Liverpool vs PSG
Can Liverpool knockout PSG?
Liverpool , like Bayern , have conquered Europe six times in their illustrious history, but @9/1 they are the outsider of that quartet to get their hands on the trophy this season. They must tackle PSG , who, after a stuttering league phase, are starting to gather steam in a similar fashion to 2025, when they won their maiden European title.
Luis Enrique’s team demolished Club World Cup winners Chelsea 8-2 on aggregate in the last 16 and, having beaten three English sides in the knockout rounds last season - including Liverpool, may be relishing the chance to face another Premier League club . PSG are 11/2 to retain their crown in Budapest in May.
