The possibility of Sinn Féin forming a government was all the rage last month after the general election results were released but following the COVID-19 outbreak, it’s the Independents who are fancied to team up with two of the main parties.
This has seen a large increase in support arriving with punters now backing the outcome of a FF/FG/Independents coalition to be formed with BoyleSports cutting those odds into 8/11 from 6/5.
The two parties issued a joint statement after their meeting and they both agreed the need to form a strong stable government that will help Ireland recover from the damage of the coronavirus.
It would seem that punters have now abandoned all hope of a FF/FG/Green government as those odds have now been eased out to 8/1 from 7/2 following the Greens confirming that they will not be engaging in anything other than discussions for a national government.
