Mercedes have monopolised top spot on the podium for all five of this year’s Formula One races but we’re backing Ferrari to buck that trend in our Monaco Grand Prix predictions . The Scuderia are coming off a strong showing in Canada, where Lewis Hamilton finished second and Charles Leclerc was fourth, and this slow, street circuit is expected to suit their machinery.
Hamilton is 4/1 to win for the fourth time at this iconic venue, but preference is for local hero Leclerc to add to his 2024 triumph here at 15/8 . Monegasque Leclerc has consistently performed well in qualifying at his home track and was the runner-up 12 months ago.

Antonelli admits fearing Ferrari in Monaco
Kimi Antonelli made it four straight wins in Canada to extend his championship lead to 43 points, as Mercedes team-mate George Russell suffered another mechanical failure while leading and did not finish. The Italian teenager struggled to get to grips with this track on his Monaco Grand Prix debut last term, though, and believes Ferrari may have the edge for a change this weekend.
Antonelli told Sky Sports F1 : “I think Ferrari’s going to be the team to beat in Monaco . “It’s going to be very interesting how we do there, but for sure Ferrari is the favourite because with that winglet they have in the back, it’s giving them a lot of downforce at low speed.”
A rejuvenated Hamilton, who is 4/5 for a third podium finish of 2026 , declared that “ Monaco should be fun”, adding: “That’s the one track where power is not king. I think our car could be really strong there.” Antonelli is available at 5/1 to extend his winning streak to five, while Russell is 11/2 to get back on track after enjoying lots of bad luck since opening the campaign with victory in Australia .
Monaco could also favour McLaren
McLaren endured a nightmare on race day in Montreal , getting their tyre strategy all wrong at the start before Lando Norris had to retire with a reliability issue and Oscar Piastri could manage only a poor 11th placing.
However, last year’s dominant team did show up well in the Sprint there and the feeling is that Monaco’s low-speed corners will benefit them. Reigning world champion Norris is 11/2 to repeat his 2025 success at this circuit for a much-needed win, while Piastri is 10/1 to take the chequered flag first.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen only just missed out on second place in Canada and can be backed at 2/1 to at least make the podium again in Monaco, where he won in 2021 and 2023.
