Having previously broken his duck for 2026 in Hungary , the defending world champion produced a brilliant drive to reel in current title leader Kimi Antonelli at Zandvoort .
With Antonelli severely hampered by a grid penalty for taking a new engine this week, Norris is rated a worthy favourite at 6/4 to complete a hat-trick of victories in the Italian Grand prix odds .

Norris Getting Stronger
McLaren boss hails Norris resurgence
Norris left Holland still 83 points adrift of Antonelli in this year’s table, but the manner of that triumph must have raised belief that he can still challenge for another championship. The British driver simply outgunned Mercedes duo Antonelli and George Russell in qualifying and the race in his upgraded McLaren .
Team principal Andrea Stella declared: “I think he’s driving at the level of a world champion. It’s almost like I see Lando stronger and stronger race by race. I would say that definitely he is now expressing a higher level of assertiveness - the manoeuvre to pass Antonelli I think is a really good demonstration of that.”
Norris has since signed a new £120million contract to keep him with McLaren until at least the end of the 2030 season. The 26-year-old said: “There was interest from other teams but it really was the easiest decision I’ve had to make in my career so far…I want them to know that there’s no other place I’d rather be than right here.”
Podium For Piastri?
Piastri value for another Monza podium
With Monza having earned the title ‘Temple of Speed ’, it is no surprise to see the top teams dominating the betting market once more. Russell is the second favourite for success at 9/4, while his Mercedes team-mate Antonelli can only be backed at 14/1 because of that penalty issue.
Ferrari duo Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are each priced at 13/2 to give the Scuderia a record-extending 22nd home win. Leclerc sent the Ferrari fans wild with victories in 2019 and 2024, while Hamilton is a five-time scorer at this circuit from his Mercedes days.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has prevailed in three of the past four renewals and is 12/1 to bounce back from last week’s disappointing early exit. The same odds are available for Oscar Piastri, who has struggled to match McLaren team-mate Norris this term but does have a decent record at Monza .
Piastri finished second here in 2024 and third last year, so 4/1 for the Australian to again make the podium is tempting enough to feature in our Italian Grand Prix betting tips.
