This year’s Formula One season reconvenes after a summer break with what looks like a wide-open Dutch Grand Prix. Mercedes dominated at the start of the year, with championship leader Kimi Antonelli rattling off five straight wins after team-mate George Russell had taken the opening race.
However, they have since only added one more win apiece, as first Ferrari and then McLaren made rapid progress in coming to terms with the radical new rules and regulations. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc each secured victories for the Scuderia before reigning world champion Lando Norris broke his 2026 duck in Hungary for McLaren.
We are hoping that Budapest triumph was no flash in the pan, because 4/1 for Norris to pick up where he left off is tempting enough to headline our Dutch Grand Prix predictions.

Sunday’s Heineken Dutch Grand Prix will be broadcast live on Sky Sports , with a UK start time of 14:00 BST.
McLaren Momentum
McLaren chief aiming to build on Budapest win
Norris sits fifth in the table, a hefty 91 points off runaway leader Antonelli , but McLaren boss Andrea Stella is determined to continue the team’s upward trajectory and will not yet give up hope of defending both drivers’ and constructors’ championships.
“If we can continue the season as we did in Budapest, I think we can still achieve a great deal,” he declared. “To do so, we must keep pushing with the development and ensure we outpace our rivals – who certainly aren’t standing still. There are still 12 races left on the calendar, so there are plenty of opportunities.”
Zandvoort is certainly a good place for the papaya outfit to begin the second half of the season, having prevailed there for the past couple of years. Britain’s Norris took top honours in 2024, while Australian team-mate Oscar Piastri passed the chequered flag first 12 months ago and is 12/1 for a repeat success.
Verstappen for Podium?
Verstappen value for another home podium?
Obviously, a circuit generally described as ‘really quick’ will also suit the other front-runners in the Dutch Grand Prix odds. Antonelli is available at 2/1 to make it a magnificent seven wins this season, while Mercedes team-mate Russell can be backed at 15/2 for a third victory of 2026.
Ferrari pair Hamilton and Leclerc are quoted at 4/1 and 11/2 respectively after being hampered by some questionable strategy decisions when fourth and fifth in Budapest . However, for those who believe in the old adage of backing horses for courses, Max Verstappen must also come into the reckoning at 9/1 to win or 13/8 to at least make the podium.
The home hero has worked wonders to keep a faltering Red Bull outfit competitive this year, posting form figures of 2-DNF-3-2 prior to the break. As for his Dutch Grand Prix record, Verstappen claimed a hat-trick of victories here between 2021 and 2023 and has been runner-up for the past two seasons.
