Jurgen Klopp has Darwin Nunez available for selection for the Merseyside derby after serving a three-match suspension for his red card against Crystal Palace, but Firmino has thrived in his place scoring three times across victories over Bournemouth and Newcastle.

“It's big for Liverpool to have Darwin Nunez back,” Sawyer told BoyleSports.

“But Roberto Firmino has relished the opportunity, so it’s a headache in a way for Jurgen Klopp – he has to decide whether to throw Nunez back in or stick with Firmino.

“I would stick with Firmino – he’s the man very much in form and there is also a Champions League match next week to consider.”

Sawyer also warned Liverpool that the Toffees will kick-off feeling optimistic they can capitalise on some patchy early form for Klopp’s side.

She said: “Liverpool may have won their last two matches, but they aren’t at their free-flowing best.

“They are stuttering a bit and after the big win against Bournemouth, I was expecting them to return to the Liverpool of old against Newcastle.

"But they weren’t at their best again and it might give Everton a bit of hope. Liverpool are a mentality monsters hence that late winner against Newcastle, but they have only kept one clean sheet so far.

"So there is a vulnerability to them this season. Everton are vulnerable too of course – they have conceded in all their games, so I do expect goals.”
