How To Watch Eurovision Semi-Final

There will be 15 countries participating in Semi-Final 1 (determined by draw). The best 10 countries from Semi-Final 1 will qualify for the Grand Final.

Eurovision Semi-Final 1 Voting

Televoting from participating countries + the pre-qualified countries Germany, France and Italy + Online voting from the rest of the world.

There will be fifteen countries competing in Semi-Final 1 of Eurovision 2023 on Tuesday Night but only ten can advance to the grand finale at the weekend. The first Semi-Final has outright Eurovision favourites Croatia who are 11/8 to win the competition and fourth favourites Ukraine at 15/2. Ireland are priced at 6/1 to win the Semi-Final and are 1/50 to qualify.

Eurovision Semi-Final 1 Running Order

The United Kingdom and Germany will perform on the night but have already qualified for the Saturday Night Final due to their status as one of the competition's “Big Five” as do Sweden as hosts of the competition.

Croatia 2/7 (To Win) 1/1000 (To Qualify)

The favourite for Semi-Final 1 is Croatia at odds of 2/7 to win and 1/1000 to qualify for the final. They’re represented by Baba Lasagna with the song Rim Tim Tagi Dim. Croatia are also 5/4 favourites to win the competition outright.

Croatia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2 times since making its debut at the 1993 contest. Their highest placement in the competition was when they finished 4th in 1996 and in 1999. In total, Croatia has failed to reach the final in 9 of the last 14 contests it has entered.

Ukraine 4/1 (To Win) 1/1000 (To Qualify)

The second favourite for Semi-Final 1 is Ukraine at odds of 4/1 to win and 1/1000 to qualify for the final. They’re represented by Aloyna Alyona & Jerry Hall with the song Teresa & Maria. Ukraine are priced at 15/2 to win the competition outright.

Ukraine have participated in the Eurovision Song Contest on 18 occasions since making their debut at the final in 20023. They have won the competition 3 times in 2004, 2016 and most recently in 2022 with the song "Stefania" performed by the group Kalush Orchestra. They can go level for Eurovision titles with the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Luxembourg and France with a win.

Ireland 6/1 (To Win) 1/50 (To Qualify)

The third favourite for Semi-Final 1 is Ireland at odds of 6/1 to win and 1/50 to qualify for the final. They’re represented by Bambi Thug singing Doomsday Blue who is priced at 9/1 to win the Grand Final on Saturday.

Ireland have participated in the event 55 times since its first entry back in 1970 and holds the record most victories in a row coming in (in 1992, 1993 and 1994). They’ve won the competition a record of 7 times only equalled by Sweden in 2023.

Finland 16/1 (To Win) 1/50 (To Qualify)

The fourth favourite for Semi-Final 1 is Finland at odds of 16/1 to win and 1/50 to qualify for the final. They’re represented by Windows95man with the song New Rules which is a big 125/1 to win the Grand Final on Saturday.

Finland has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 56 times since its debut in 1961. Their only success in the competition came with Lordi and their song "Hard Rock Hallelujah back in 2006.

Lithuania 25/1 (To Win) 1/100 To Qualify)

The fifth favourite in the betting for this Semi-Final is Lithuania who can be gotten at 25/1 to win on the night and are 1/100 to qualify for the final. Lithuania will be represented by Alessandra with the song Lutelk performed by Silvester Belt.

Lithuania has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 23 times since its debut in 1994, where Ovidijus Vyšniauskas finished last, receiving "null points". Their highest placement came at the 2006 final where they finished 6th.
