Eurovision Favourites
Sweden – 10/11
The red-hot favourite for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest is Sweden at odds of 10/11 of earning a record-breaking 8th Eurovision title.
Sweden has partaken in the contest 63 times with their first appearance coming in 1958 where Brita Borg sang the song Augustin and finished 4th in the final out of 10 countries. Along with the Netherlands and the UK, Sweden is one of only 3 countries with Eurovision victories in 4 different decades winning the contest in 1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, 2015, 2023. Their total of 7 victories puts them as the joint most successful country in the history of the competition along with Ireland.
Their 7th success came in 2023 when Loreen who had previously won the song contest with Euphoria in 2012 returned with the song Tattoo coming 57 points ahead of Finland after winning the Jury Vote. Last year they finished 9th when Marcus & Martinus sang Unforgettable.
The Swedes look set to return with a bang this year with KAJ singing Bara Bada Bastu with the song already amassing 8.5 Million since being uploaded on the 8th of March last month.
Sweden to win - 10/11
Austria – 4/1
The second favourite for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest is Austria at odds of 4/1 of winning their third title following wins in 1966 and 2014.
Austria have been represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 56 times since its debut in 1957 and holds the record for the longest gap between consecutive wins with 48 years. Following, a 6th finish at the 1964 contest and 4th finish in 1965, Udo Jürgens won at his 3rd attempt in 1966 with the song "Merci, Chérie.
Austria won again in 2014, with "Rise Like a Phoenix" by Conchita Wurst and at last year’s contest they finished last in the final when Kaleen sang the song We Will Rave.
Following last year's contest disappointment, they will naturally be looking to return with a bang in 2025 and the song Wasted Love by JJ looks to have hit all the right notes in the media and social media and has already been viewed 3.3 Million times on the official Eurovision Song Contest channel.
Austria to win - 4/1
France – 8/1
The third favourite for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest is France with odds of 8/1 of a fifth success following wins in 1958, 1960, 1962, 1969 and 1977.
France have partaken in the contest 66 times since the first contest in 1956. And is one of only 7 countries to be present at the first contest, only being absent from the 1974 and 1982 contests. Since 2001they’ve been considered along with the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain, which automatically qualify for the final each year due to them being the biggest contributors to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
Since their success in 1977 with Marie Myriam singing L'Oiseau et l'Enfant aside from a runner-up finish in 1990, 1991 and 2021 when Barbera Prava sang Voilla they’ve largely underperformed in the competition.
Last year France finished 4th when Slimane sang Mon Armour and at the 2025 Contest, they will be represented by Louane singing Maman.
France to win - 8/1
Israel – 11/1
The fourth favourite for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest is Israel with odds of 11/1 of adding to their successes in 1978, 1979, 1998 and 2018
Israel has been very consistent on the Eurovision stage partaking in the event 46 times since debuting in 1973 and has won the event on 4 occasions in 1978, 1979, 1998, and most recently in 2018 when the winner was “Toy” performed by Netta and written by Doron Medalie and Stav Beger.
However, due to the ongoing political conflict, many countries have come out saying that Israel should not be allowed to participate in the contest this year, but the contest organisers have stood firm with their involvement.
In terms of contest know-how, Israel are a shrewd operator and never seems far away from the top of the table and in these last two events finished 3rd when Noa Kirel sang Unicorn in 2023 and in 2024 came 5th when Eden Golan sang Hurricane.
This year they will be represented by Yuval Rapheal with the song New Day Will Rise.

The Netherlands have partaken in the contest on 64 occasions with their first appearance coming in 1956 during the contest's first year and have only missed the event in 1985, 1991, 1995 and 2002.
Since their last success in 2019 when Duncan Laurence won with the song Arcade, it’s been a miserable few years coming 23rd, 11th, failing to qualify in 2023 and being disqualified last year.
In 2025 they will be represented by Claude singing C’est la Vie,
Netherlands to win - 14/1
Ireland – 66/1
If you’re looking for Ireland's odds for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, they can be gotten at a massive 66/1 suggesting the Emerald Isle has only a 1.5% chance of ending a 28-year drought in the competition.
Ireland has made 56 appearances in the contest the first coming in 1965. It’s been a poor few years for Ireland at the contest, but they remain the joint most successful country in the competition with their 7 successes coming in 1970, 1980, 1987, 1992, 1993, 1994, and 1996, with Sweden levelling their total of 7 in 2023.
Bambi Thug represented Ireland and ended up placing in 6th place which was the best result for the nation since Eamonn Toal also finished 6th in 2000 with the song Millenium of Love.
