FREIBURG TO BEAT AUGSBURG @ 4/5
The Breisgau Brazilians exceeded all expectations by finishing fifth in the Bundesliga table last term, seven places and 12 points above Augsburg. Freiburg can also boast an excellent record in this fixture, having come out on top in the past five meetings at Europa-Park Stadion, by an aggregate scoreline of 13-2. With a 2-0 DFB-Pokal cup success at Sportfreunde Lotte already under their belts, we see no reason not to stick with Julian Schuster’s men on Saturday.

OSASUNA AND VALENCIA TO DRAW @ 19/10
Both LaLiga encounters between these two teams ended in stalemate last season, with a goalless draw at the Mestalla followed by a 3-3 classic at El Sadar, when the match swung from one side to the other. Osasuna shared the spoils a division-high 16 times overall in 2024/25 while Valencia were second in terms of away draws with nine and have already kicked off with a 1-1 stalemate versus Real Sociedad this term. Their hosts will have taken plenty of positives from a 1-0 loss at Real Madrid, so a tight tussle is anticipated on Sunday.

Liam Rosenior was a manager in demand after guiding Strasbourg to seventh place in Ligue 1 last season, so it was a major boost for the French club when he committed to a new three-year deal. Being part of the BlueCo organisation which owns Chelsea has also aided Le Racing, who have benefited via several promising players switching to Stade de la Meinau from Stamford Bridge.
An opening 1-0 win at Metz maintained the momentum and this is a team that claimed 10 home victories in 2024/25.
