Celtic vs Braga
Celtic to beat Sporting Braga with over 2.5 goals in total @19/10
Although they have not been beaten aside from a penalty shoot-out in their 11 matches this season, things are not going as smoothly as in the past for Celtic. They suffered a shock Champions League exit to Kairat Almaty and have been held to five draws, including against Red Star last week and Hibernian at the weekend. Hoops fans will be demanding better at Parkhead tomorrow.
Portuguese side Braga had a good start to the season but have struggled of late, winning only two of their last seven games and suffering a 1-0 home loss to Nacional on Sunday. They did beat Dutch high-flyers Feyenoord 1-0 in their Europa League opener, though, and Celtic will need to be wary.
Feyenoord vs Aston Villa
Feyenoord to draw with Aston Villa @12/5
Feyenoord sit three points clear in the Eredivisie with 19 points from a possible 21 and having kept five clean sheets, but they have not managed to replicate that stunning form in Europe. They were knocked out of the Champions League qualifiers by Fenerbahce after losing the second leg 5-2 and were also beaten in their Europa League opener against Braga.
Villa impressed last season but have been slow to get going this term, failing to win any of their opening six games. However, over the past week, they have beaten Bologna and Fulham, and if anybody knows how to succeed in the Europa League, it is four-time winner Unai Emery.
Nottingham Forest vs Midtjylland
Nottingham Forest to beat Midtjylland with over 2.5 goals in total @23/20
Like Villa, Forest have also found it hard to rediscover last season’s form and are without a win in seven games since beating Brentford in their Premier League opener. Four of those games have ended in defeat, including Saturday’s 1-0 at defeat to promoted Sunderland, and new boss Ange Postecoglou will be going all out for a victory tomorrow.
Midtjylland will not be easy opponents, though. The Danish side have been in action since July and have won 10 of their last 11 matches in all competitions, including beating Sturm Graz in the Europa League. They have only failed to score twice in 18 games this term, so goals could be on the agenda at the City Ground.
Sturm Graz vs Rangers
Sturm Graz to beat Rangers with both teams to score @ 11/4
Sturm Graz have been consistently inconsistent this season, winning seven of their 11 matches but without managing to string more than two victories together, while losing the other four. They have kept five clean sheets but also failed to score in three games, so it could depend on which Sturm side turns up tomorrow.
Rangers have also found it hard to find the right formula under new boss Russell Martin, winning five and losing five of their 15 matches. They lost 1-0 at home to Genk last week, so can ill-afford another Europa League setback.
Dynamo Kiev vs Crystal Palace
Both Dynamo Kiev and Crystal Palace to score @3/4
Palace continue to go from strength to strength under Oliver Glasner, building on their historic FA Cup and Community Shield successes with an unbeaten run to start the new season. They also head into the Conference League, further buoyed by their last-gasp win over Liverpool.
Dynamo are also yet to taste defeat domestically, but have struggled in Europe, knocked out of the Champions League qualifiers by Pafos and then losing their Europa League play-off to Maccabi Tel Aviv. They have drawn their last three league matches 3-3, 2-2 and 2-2, so goals could be on the cards in the Polish city of Lublin.
