Barcelona to Beat Real Sociedad with Over 3.5 Goals in Total @ 23/20

Barcelona have won five of their opening six games this season, including comprehensive victories over Valencia (6-0) and Getafe (3-0) in their two 'home' games which were played at the club’s 6,000-capacity Johan Cruyff Stadium while they wait for the revamped Nou Camp to be finally ready.

That wait goes on, with this weekend’s game against Real Sociedad taking place at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, but that should cause the reigning Spanish champions few concerns.

They have won 39 of their 52 competitive games at their temporary home at the city’s Olympic Stadium since moving there in 2023 - including 2-0 and 4-0 victories over Sociedad.

Sociedad ended up 11th last season - the first time they had not finished in the top six since 2019 - and that hangover looks to have continued over the opening weeks of this campaign.

They had picked up just two points from five games before finally recording a first win with their 1-0 home victory over Real Mallorca in midweek.

Despite that success, we are thinking Sociedad could be in for a rough night on Sunday.

PSG to Beat Auxerre with Over 3.5 Goals in Total @ 20/21

PSG saw their 100 per cent start wrecked and their pride wounded on Monday night as they suffered their first league loss at the home of bitter rivals Marseille in 14 years.

That 1-0 defeat ended a run of five successive wins to start the season for the French and European champions and Luis Enrique - who was being named best men’s coach at the Ballon d’Or awards back in Paris while he was at the Stade Velodrome - will be demanding an immediate response, with Auxerre in the firing line.

Auxerre have lost both of their away games this season and have shipped 11 goals in losing their last three visits to the Parc des Princes.

However, they have only conceded six goals in their five games this term, keeping two clean sheets, and will hope to keep PSG’s much-vaunted forward line at bay for as long as possible.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored twice as PSG won this fixture 3-1 last season and the Georgian wing wizard can be backed at 4/1 to do the same this weekend.

Eintracht Frankfurt to Win at Borussia Monchengladbach with Both Teams to Score @ 12/5

Sixth-placed Frankfurt head to struggling Monchengladbach this weekend and wherever Dino Toppmoller’s side go, goals have followed.

There have been an average of over five goals per game from their six fixtures in the league, cup and Europe so far, including a 5-1 demolition of Galatasaray and 4-3 loss to Union Berlin in their last two outings.

Frankfurt have only kept one clean sheet in that run, during their season-opening 5-0 DFB-Pokal win at minnows FV Engers, and we cannot see this weekend’s game finishing a drab stalemate.

Monchengladbach also started their campaign with a cup win, but were far less impressive in seeing off fifth-tier Atlas Delmenhorst 3-2 and have since picked up only two points from their four Bundesliga games, including a 4-0 defeat to Hamburg in their last home match.

Gladbach fans may not see their side climb out of the bottom two this weekend, but they should witness some goals at the very least.

● LIVE ODDS Eintracht Frankfurt Both Teams To Score And Match Result

Juventus to Beat Atalanta with Both Teams to Score @ 10/3

Juventus sit second in Serie A, two points behind leaders Napoli, and are unbeaten after five league and European games but that record could be tested by fifth-placed Atalanta in what could be another goal-fest.

Atalanta started the season with two low-key 1-1 draws under new coach Ivan Juric, who replaced the hugely successful Gian Piero Gasperini in the summer, but they have had a much more eventful time of it since then.

In their last three matches, the 2024 Europa League winners have thrashed Lecce 4-1 and Torino 3-0 either side of a 4-0 Champions League loss at Paris St Germain.

Juve fans have not been short of entertainment either, with the last two games at Allianz Stadium seeing a 4-3 win over Inter Milan and a 4-4 draw with Borussia Dortmund.

If that wasn’t enough to whet the appetite for a potential humdinger, Atalanta won this fixture 4-0 last season and the previous two years it finished 2-2 and 3-3.

AZ Alkmaar to Beat NEC Nijmegen with Over 2.5 Goals in Total @ 17/10

NEC Nijmegen appear the very model of consistency, sitting safely in seventh place in the Eredivisie with three wins and three defeats from six games, but that only tells part of the story.

They started the campaign in blistering form, winning 5-0, 4-1 and 3-0 before dramatically losing their way as they suffered defeats of 3-2, 5-3 and 3-2 in their next three matches, and coach Dick Schreuder must be wondering what has gone wrong.

But we are more interested in the fact that an astonishing 31 goals have been scored in NEC’s six fixtures, and that could be the theme of Sunday’s clash against in-form AZ too.

AZ lost their opening Conference League game at Ilves Tampere 4-3 way back in July but since then have won eight and drawn three of their 11 European and Eredivisie matches.

Goals have not been in short supply either in their games - evidenced by 3-3 and 2-2 draws in the last week - and we’re expecting more fireworks this weekend.
