Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar

Oba Femi @ 1/3 vs Brock Lesnar @ 21/10

Set to open Night 2 of Wrestlemania 42 is the battle between “The Ruler” Oba Femi and “The Beast” Brock Lesnar in what could end up being a real passing of the torch moment this coming weekend.

Oba Femi is one of the most imposing figures in the company, built like a wrecking ball and carrying himself with a quiet, suffocating confidence. He doesn’t need to say much; his presence says it all. Following Brock Lesnar’ s open challenge, Femi didn’t hesitate, marching to the ring before delivering a Fall From Grace powerbomb. The two have been on a collision course ever since.

Brock Lesnar needs no introduction. A former UFC Heavyweight Champion , multi-time WWE Champion , and the man who ended The Undertaker's undefeated WrestleMania streak, one of the stronges resume’s in the history of professional wrestling. He received a thunderous reception at SummerSlam after nearly two years away, returning to flatten John Cena with an F5.

Though Brock is always backed to the end by the company, it does feel like it’s time to pass the “ The Next Big Thing” title to Oba Femi.

Best Bet: Oba Femi @ 1/3

Intercontinental Title Match

Penta (c) @ 11/8 vs Rey Mysterio @ 7/2, vs Je'Von Evans @ 8/13 vs Dragon Lee @ 12/1 vs JD McDonagh @14/1 vs Rusev @ 25/1

WrestleMania has always had a soft spot for the multi-man match, and this year's high-flying instalment promises to be one of the most visually spectacular bouts on the card. Six competitors, four generations of gravity-defying excellence collide when Penta (41), Rey Mysterio (51), Je'Von Evans (21) and Dragon Lee (30) share the ring alongside Irishman JD McDonagh (36) and powerhouse Rusev (40).

Legendary Luchador Penta is the defending Intercontinental Champion after defeating Dominik Mysterio in March to become the first Mexican -born winner of the title, and it’s richly deserved for the consistency he’s shown in the company at entertaining the masses since debuting in January 2025. Rey Mysterio has done it all. 37 years after debuting in Mexico , he continues to perform out of sheer love for the business. Though he has fewer years left, he hasn’t really missed a step and should be watched and appreciated while we still can!

Je'Von Evans may be the youngest here, but his athleticism, charisma, and showmanship are already off the charts, and his ceiling as a performer doesn’t seem to exist. Dragon Lee may fall under the radar, but he’s one of the most entertaining wrestlers around when given the chance to shine. JD McDonagh, though with a smaller frame, is an exceptionally hard hitter, and he, along with designated wrecking ball Rusev, will bring physical toughness to this match.

This is my pick for match of the weekend, and a case could be made for anyone here, but I think Je’Von Evans will be given a star-making night.

Best Bet: Je’Von Evans @ 8/13

Jade Cargill (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

Jade Cargill (c) @ 6/4 vs. Rhea Ripley @ 1/2

Jade Cargill is one of the most physically imposing and naturally gifted performers WWE has signed in years. Before arriving, she dominated AEW as the inaugural TBS Champion for an extraordinary 508 days, building an unbeaten streak that announced her as a generational talent. Since crossing over, she has not slowed down, winning the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship , the 2025 Queen of the Ring , and the WWE Women's Championship from Tiffany Stratton at Saturday Night's Main Event last November.

Rhea Ripley has been one of the top stars on the WWE roster since 2021. Her dominant presence, powerhouse style, and magnetic " Mami " charisma set her apart from everyone around her, both male and female! A three-time world champion, Grand Slam and Triple Crown winner , Rhea Ripley has held the Raw Women's, SmackDown Women 's, and Women's World Championships , with a legendary 380-day title reign that stands among the longest in modern WWE history.

Though the build to this has been underdeveloped, this will be extremely hard-hitting and expect unthinkable feats of strength and stunts. Rhea Ripley represents remarkable value in the betting. I can’t see her losing.

Best Bet: Rhea Ripley @ 1/2

Sami Zayn (c)   vs. Trick Williams

Sami Zayn (c) @ 2/1 vs. Trick Williams @ 4/11

From his early NXT days in 2013 through to his main roster debut in 2015, Sami Zayn has become one of the most organically over and universally beloved Superstars on the roster since his debut vs John Cena, he’s become a four-time Intercontinental Champion , two-time US Champion (and current) and Tag Team Champion alongside “best friend” Kevin Owens. Though he’s a bona fide Superstar, it always feels like WWE have held back on pulling the trigger and giving him a World Title run.

Trick Williams is one of the most exciting talents in years due to his infectious personality and natural charisma, which has made him a hit with fans. Though his SmackDown debut was only three months ago, he’s firmly established a place toward the top of the card.

The build to this has been extremely interesting, though Sami is beloved by the fans, such is the popularity of “ Whoop That Trick ” that crowds have vehemently turned against Zayn in favour of the captivating, charismatic Williams . Trick’s time will come, but I can see Zayn retaining through a double turn.

Best Bet: Sami Zayn @ 2/1

"The Demon" Finn Balor vs Dominik Mysterio

"The Demon” Finn Balor @ 1/6 vs. Dominik Mysterio @ 7/2

From mastering the indie scenes to joining NXT in May 2014, Bray native Finn Balor has put together a career spanning over two decades, winning titles across multiple continents and countries. However, he still always seemingly did his best to help the development of new talent. The pinnacle of his stint with WWE was when he was the inaugural Universal Champion, but he’s also a two-time Intercontinental Champion , a six-time Tag Team Champion and a former US Champion, and his work as part of The Judgement Day has helped develop buckets of new stars, including his opponent here.

Being the son of arguably the greatest luchador of all time always meant a certain level of expectation and pressure on Dominik. Though during his initial main roster, he struggled to “get over” with the fans, his heel turn and role within The Judgement Day since the summer of 2022 has been exactly what his character arc needed, and at 29 a two-time Intercontinental Champion, two time NXT North American Champion and a one-time Tag Team Champion with his father the future is very bright.

Though these two were initially thick as thieves in the beginning with The Judgement Day , cracks appeared, and they’ve been on a collision course for some time. Come the weekend, I can only see Balor coming out on top, particularly with the added mystique of the Demon persona in play.

Best Bet: “The Demon” Finn Balor @ 1/6

CM Punk vs Roman Reigns

CM Punk (c) @ 13/8 vs. Roman Reigns @ 4/9

Night 2 of WrestleMania will be headlined by two of the most compelling stars in modern WWE history, with CM Punk putting the World Heavyweight Championshi p on the line against Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns.

CM Punk is a wrestling icon who rose to fame in WWE with his anti-hero persona, mic skills, and in-ring prowess. Despite walking out of the company in 2014 and stating he would never come back, he returned in November 2023 as a reminder that in wrestling, never say never.

The rise of " The Tribal Chief " from almost universal rejection within the WWE fanbase to the very top of the industry, a central figure in the famous " Bloodline " storyline for over four years, is a testament to the man's ability. A WWE Grand Slam Champion , a record 11-time WrestleMania main eventer and the man who held the Universal Championship for a staggering 1,316 days, Roman Reigns has cemented himself as one of the greatest of his generation.

This is the most bitter and twisted feud in the company in some time. Roman Reigns won the 2026 Royal Rumble and immediately set his sights on World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk , reminding him that he was the man who brought Reigns to the main roster as part of The Shield in 2012. Reigns countered that it was Punk who sanctioned his own return to the company. The war of words has heightened with both men admitting envy for one another recently, and both are on a collision course for destruction come Sunday.

The winner of this will have a huge say on the creative direction of the company going forward. Reigns is the “Top Dog” in the company and is very rarely left to lose, but I said it last year that CM Punk has a story to finish and though it didn’t come then, I think now is the time for him to achieve immortality.

Best Bet: CM Punk @ 13/8
