Coventry Win & BTTS
Coventry to Win at Wrexham & BTTS
Coventry will look to take advantage of Wrexham’s midweek Carabao Cup exertions and strengthen their position atop the Championship on Friday night.
The unbeaten Sky Blues are three points clear of Middlesbrough after winning their last six games and in Brandon Thomas-Asante, Haji Wright and Victor Torp have three of the division’s top five goalscorers.
Wrexham have home advantage but, having lost their first meeting with Welsh rivals Cardiff in 21 years there on Tuesday, they do not have a lot of time to recover emotionally and physically.
Stoke vs Bristol City: Draw
Stoke to Draw with Bristol City
Bristol City have climbed to fourth in the Championship on the back of successive wins over Norwich, Southampton and Birmingham but Stoke are hot on their heels.
Mark Robins’ men are just a point below Bristol City and neither side will want to lose ground on the top three this weekend.
One thing that seems unlikely is a high-scoring thriller. Of Stoke’s 14 competitive matches this term, 10 have produced two goals or less while the other four - which all came in August - topped out at four goals (3-1).
Hull Win vs Norwich
Hull to Win at Norwich
Norwich have been a familiar presence around the top of the Championship in recent memory but right now they are fighting to not drop down a division.
The Canaries have lost their last five matches and are 23rd in the table with just eight points in total.
Hull looked in a spot of bother themselves six weeks ago but four wins and three draws in eight matches has left them level on points with sixth-placed Charlton.
Sheffield United Win & Under 3.5 Goals
Sheffield United to Beat Derby Under 3.5 Goals
Rejuvenated Sheffield United should be heading into the weekend on a three-match winning streak but surrendered a two-goal lead to lose at Preston last time out.
As such the Blades are still stuck in the relegation zone but they will be looking at the visit of 17th-placed Derby as a chance to make further progress under Chris Wilder.
It could be a close affair, though. United are the lowest scorers in the division with nine goals while Derby’s last eight fixtures have finished either 1-0 or 1-1.
West Brom Win & BTTS
West Brom to Beat Sheffield Wednesday & BTTS
Three away defeats in their last four games has left West Brom playing catch-up in the promotion race but they should make it a happy Hawthorns this weekend.
Visiting Sheffield Wednesday are facing issues on and off the pitch and, with just one win all season and a 12-point deduction for going into administration, they appear destined for a return to League One.
West Brom may have had problems on the road but they are nothing compared to Wednesday and it could get worse for the Owls this weekend.
