EFL ACCA Tips – Saturday’s 12/1+ 5-Fold
Tip #1
Bristol City to beat Charlton @ 5/6
The Robins got their Championship campaign off to a flying start when powering to a 4-1 triumph at Sheffield United, where Scott Twine bagged a brace. That went a small way towards avenging last season’s play-off loss to the Blades and certainly felt like a statement of intent from Gerhard Struber’s men, who followed up with a League Cup defeat of MK Dons. Promoted Charlton kicked off with a handy victory over Watford, but it will be tougher away from home.

Tip #2
Cardiff to beat Rotherham @ 4/6
After dropping down from the Championship, the signs are that Cardiff will be far more comfortable in League One. The Bluebirds began by coming from behind to beat Peterborough 2-1 and then picked up a share of the spoils at Port Vale. A League Cup success versus Swindon kept the Bluebirds’ bandwagon moving in the right direction and next opponents Rotherham were known as poor travellers last term.
Tip #3
Stevenage to beat Northampton @ 4/6
Boro built on an opening win at Blackpool by seeing off Rotherham 1-0 at Lamex Stadium, with Jamie Reid’s header giving them a deserved triumph. Stevenage created several good chances to add to their lead in the second half and have since bolstered their attacking firepower by signing Gateshead striker Jovan Malcolm. Northampton struggled to score goals last term and have started out with similar problems this season.
Tip #4
MK Dons to beat Cheltenham @ 11/20
With Paul Warne and Richie Barker at the helm and some promising new signings made on the pitch, big things are expected of MK Dons in League Two and the early evidence is encouraging. A cagey start was understandable in a 0-0 draw with Oldham, and they built on that by posting a dominant 2-0 victory at Barrow, firing six shots on target, with none allowed at the other end. Cheltenham have failed to pick up a point or score a goal in two outings in this division.
Tip #5
Salford to beat Accrington @ 4/6
After just missing out on a place in the play-offs last term, Karl Robinson will be determined to get Salford up this time. Losing 3-1 at home to Crewe first up wasn’t ideal, but there was a lot to like about a subsequent 2-1 success away to Notts County. Accrington are among the favourites for relegation from League Two and have just one point from two games, so the Ammies get a confident vote in our EFL acca tips.
