Premier League Trophy Beside Pitch

Speaking exclusively to BoyleSports, Dwight Yorke has declared that Arsenal will not win the Premier League as their team is currently constructed.

The former star Premier League striker has picked out the one area in their squad that they need to improve if they are to come out on top in the title race next season.

Yorke was also full of praise for one Liverpool striker who he believes can fire the Reds to Premier League glory plus he gave us his predictions for next season’s Premier League top four.

Arsenal Can’t Win the Title With Their Current Squad – It’s Not Rocket Science

Without a proper striker, Arsenal won’t win the Premier League.

Arsenal haven’t been able to finish above Manchester City in the last two years because they haven't got someone who can stick the ball in the net on a regular basis.

If you look throughout the history of the Premier League, the teams who win the league have always got somebody who's scoring 20 plus goals.

It's not rocket science for Mikel Arteta. They're supposed to be the experts and have all the data and the know-how and the breakdowns of all the teams that have won the Premier League.

Goals are shared in and amongst the team, of course. But there's a significant part of the game that you need to master, which is to put the ball in the net on a regular basis and you need an individual who does that to win you the title.

*Arsenal are 15/8 to win the Premier League in 2024/25 per the latest football odds at BoyleSports.

Six Candidates for a Top-Four Finish After Manchester City and Arsenal

Alongside Manchester City and Arsenal, there are six other candidates for the remaining two Champions League places.

Liverpool will be in transition with the new manager, Chelsea are in the same position as Manchester United, Tottenham play attractive football but you don’t know where that will get them.

Then you have Aston Villa and Newcastle, those two spots are up for grabs so I think it will be a race till the end of the season in terms of getting into the Champions League. It’s wide open.

Darwin Nunez Can Fire Liverpool to the Premier League Title - He Has Everything

Darwin Nunez can fire Liverpool to Premier League glory, 100%.

He has all the attributes and he is still only 25 and still learning. All he has to do is train his finishing from different attacking positions and when they pop up in games he needs to be calm and cool and not so erratic.

That comes from anxiousness but if he calms down, takes a deep breath he will become a much better finisher. He’s another player that gets criticised but he is a rare breed.

He's a little bit raw and rough around the edges but you need that. To have a finished article, you need to work on players and develop them. I'm sure that's what Arne Slot knows he needs to do.

On any given day, he's more than a handful. He's more than capable of being such a renowned striker of the dying breed of strikers, Harry Kane, Robert Lewandowski, those types of players.

This guy could be the next best thing in that position if he can polish up on a few things, do the simple things well. It's better to get those opportunities than not get those opportunities.

For someone of his ability and quality, he should be scoring a lot more, that's just an area that he needs to improve. How you do that is going back to the drawing board and put him in those scenarios and then work at it.

Then he will find comfort when it becomes instinctive. Until you're about 26 or 27, you're not fully matured yet, you're likely to make mistakes until then.

Darwin Nunez and Ollie Watkins Can Beat Erling Haaland to the Golden Boot

Darwin Nunez and Ollie Watkins have a great chance of beating Erling Haaland to the Golden Boot. I think they both showed their standard last year and will both be desperate to reproduce that again.

Watkins broke my record for goals in a Premier League season which is great and now it’s up to him to reproduce that again? Because anything less than that is a failure.

That's what I learned after leaving the game, staying at the very top level is what separates the great players from the good players.

Providing that they're fit and healthy, those are the two that could stop Erling Haaland from winning a third Golden Boot in a row.
