Christmas Wager Conquers Odds of 40,000/1
A punter in Dublin secured the most timely of big wins at the weekend when a modest wager reaped significant rewards thanks to their lucky Lotto numbers.
The anonymous winner struck their small bet in a BOYLE Sports shop in the capital, investing just €1 in five numbers for Saturday evening’s Lotto Plus 1 draw.
They faced mammoth odds of 40,000/1 for all five to come out of the machine, but when numbers 3, 7, 9, 21 and 32 dropped out, the value of their betslip skyrocketed to an astounding total of €40,001.
