Donegal have been backed to get their hands back on the Anglo-Celt Cup after they prevailed by the narrowest of margins following a battling encounter with Derry in Ballybofey on Sunday.

A tight match was decided deep into injury time when Paddy McBrearty, who was kept quiet for the most part by a steely Derry outfit, hit the winning point in the 74th minute to tee up a semi-final clash with Tyrone.

Declan Bonner’s men are now 13/8 favourites from 2/1 to regain supremacy in the province following last year’s surprise final defeat.""

Tyrone had already eased into the last four as they ended Cavan’s reign as Ulster champions with an eight-point victory in Omagh on Saturday.

The Red Hand men however have been eased slightly to 9/4 from 2/1 to win their first Ulster championship since 2017 ahead of Sunday’s showdown.
