Niamh Shevlin is a 27-year-old who was born and raised in Co. Donegal. She has a massive passion for Irish dancing, teaching and travel.
In the world of Irish dancing, she has had massive success since first getting into it at the age of 4 alongside her twin brother. The pair went on to perform internationally together under the name of ‘The Shevlin Twins’.
More recently, Niamh was performing as ‘Saoirse’, the lead role in Michael Flatley’s ‘Lord of the Dance’. These days one of her biggest goals is to pass on her passion for Irish dancing to the next generation.
This year’s Donegal Rose recently qualified to become a primary school teacher. She also teaches weekly lessons to children in Africa after travelling to Uganda in 2023.
