Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Don Cossack has been installed as the 6/4 favourite to retain the Bibby Financial Services Punchestown Gold Cup.
Cue Card who got back to winning ways at Aintree having suffered a fall at Cheltenham when going well is next in the betting at 2/1 with Ryanair winner, Vautour who took a crashing fall at Aintree priced at 7/2.
Vautour’s stablemate Valseur Lido is priced at 10/1 with another two Willie Mullins trained runners, Don Poli and Vroum Vroum Mag priced at 12/1.
Djakadam, who finished second in the race last year, is 14/1 to go one better whilst Road To Riches, who finished third in the race last year and was last seen finishing third to Vautour in the Ryanair, is also priced at 14/1.
If the ground came up good on the day Don Cossack’s current 6/4 is likely to harden further whilst if the ground was on the easy side Cue Card’s price would be sure to shorten and Colin Tizzard’s stable star could go off favourite.
