SugarHill Steward, trainer of Tyson Fury, admits Dillian Whyte has improved and has a chance of surprising the Gypsy King next weekend.

The two heavyweight boxers collide in the ring on Saturday, April 23rd in a highly anticipated bout between the British duo at Wembley Stadium, with Fury the current overwhelming favourite, with odds as short as 1/7.

Whyte, available at 9/2, packs a powerful punch but Steward believes Fury will be able to cope and deliver a knockout blow to the 34-year-old, dubbed 'The Body Snatcher'.

“We've seen Dillian Whyte's punching power over the years, he's no different than these other heavyweights are," Steward said, speaking exclusively to BoyleSports, who have a ton of odds available on the fight.

"Everybody has a chance in the heavyweight division, that's why it's the most exciting division.

"Everybody wants one heavyweight to hit the other heavyweight and them to go down. That's it. That's what the heavyweight division brings. That's what the heavyweight division is about.

"It's about that one punch knockout at any given time, it can happen."

Indeed, Fury dazzled the entire world with his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder in recent years, and with talk of facing Anthony Joshua fading away, Whyte has stepped up to take on the 33-year-old.

And Steward has backed up just why Fury is the best in the business all-round but when it comes to power.

“Yeah, Dillian Whyte has a chance. He can punch, he's a tremendous puncher. He's almost got as many knockouts as Tyson Fury," said the trainer.

"The only real difference if I’m really being honest is Tyson Fury is the knockout king. He dethroned the previous knockout king, so that makes Tyson legitimately the knockout king.

"He's the big puncher in boxing now; the same way he dethroned Wladimir Klitschko. He dethroned Deontay Wilder by knocking him out - giving him a taste of his own medicine - twice.

"That makes Tyson legitimately, factually the biggest puncher in boxing. You can't become the biggest puncher in boxing if you don't take out the bigger puncher.”

Fury is undeniably the big favourite for the bout at Wembley Stadium next Saturday, but Whyte has sharpened his tools under a new trainer himself in Harold Knight which Steward is well aware of.

"Harold has improved Dillian as a fighter from what I've seen in the time he's been working with him," he said.

"Harold Knight is an experienced, knowledgeable trainer. He's also had some teaching under Emmanuel [Steward] as well, being in the Lennox Lewis camps, and what not.

"Plain and simple, Dillian Whyte has improved since working with Harold Knight."
