Sir Steve Redgrave could be facing an early exit from the new series of Dancing on Ice with bookie BoyleSports rating the decorated Olympian a 25/1 outsider.
The 62-year-old is the veteran amongst a group of eleven new contestants lacing up their skates in search of success on the ice, but with five rowing gold medals at consecutive Olympic Games between 1984-2000, punters have gone cold on the chances of Redgrave topping the podium on this occasion.

Instead, former Love Islander Chris Taylor has been gambled down to 7/2 from 9/2 before the opening performances, with TOWIE star Dan Edgar hot on his heels at 4/1. Other celebs being backed for a lengthy stint on the ice include runner-up on The Traitors Mollie Pearce, who is 9/2 to go one better this time, and Coronation Street star Sam Aston.
The actor, famed for playing Chesney on the famous cobbles, is considered a likely challenger for the trophy at 5/1 and is proving a more popular choice than the likes of Redgrave and former Premier League footballer Anton Ferdinand, who faces odds of 20/1 on his fancy footwork on the pitch translating to the rink.
