Gamble On For Two English Horses
BoyleSports has reported a significant gamble on two English horses on Irish Derby weekend at the Curragh with the bookmaker fearing a significant 11/2 payout.
Pretty Polly Stakes Betting
British-trained horses will account for five of the eight runners in Saturday’s Pretty Polly Stakes, with Ralph Beckett’s Bluestocking (13/8) and John & Thady Gosden’s Emily Upjohn (2/1) dominating the betting.
Bluestocking was least seen blitzing the field with a dominant display at York but has yet to score at Group One level, with punters deciding to side with Emily Upjohn to bounce back to her best and secure a third win at the highest level, backing the filly into 2/1 from 3/1.

Declarations were revealed on Friday for the highlight of the three-day meeting, Sunday’s Irish Derby with BoyleSports making Ambiente Friendly the 11/10 favourite.
The James Fanshawe-trained colt was last seen finishing second to City Of Troy in the Epsom Derby and punters are confident that the three-year-old can go one better at the Curragh after owners, the Gredley Family, supplemented him for the Sunday feature at a cost of €100,000.
Ballydoyle will mount a formidable home challenge led by Epsom third Los Angeles, with Euphoric, The Euphrates and Chester Vase third Grosvenor Square completing a four-pronged Coolmore attack.
Punters however remain convinced that the €1,250,000 purse will cross the Irish Sea with Ambiente Friendly clipped into 11/10 from 5/4.
“With the Irish dominating Cheltenham and fielding ten winners at Royal Ascot, the tide could be about to change. Punters are strong on British horses in both Group Ones at the Curragh and if Emily Upjohn and Ambiente Friendly both oblige, we’re facing a significant payout.”
