It’s been eighty-nine years since an amateur won The Open Championship, but 22-year old James Sugrue from Mallow, County Cork could become the next amateur to win at the Donegal venue with BoyleSports making him a 300/1 chance to join Padraig Harrington in the Irish roll of honour.

Last year’s winner Francesco Molinari is 20/1 to become the first back to back winner since Padraig Harrington back in 2007 and 2008.
