Conor McGregor’s odds of returning to UFC action with a victory this month are shortening as he continues preparation for his rematch with old rival Dustin Poirier.
The Dubliner’s latest social media update showed him grappling with coach John Kavanagh in the Octagon as he joked the pair were keeping each other away from his own brand of whiskey he claimed he drank all week before his 2018 defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov.
McGregor, who beat Poirier in the opening round of their first bout in Las Vegas in 2014, has now fallen into 4/11 from 4/7 to assert his authority over the American, with hot odds of 2/9 suggesting the fight won’t go the full distance again.
The chances of the bout being ended by a KO or TKO are also strongly fancied at 2/9.
