Coko Beach was a brilliant winner of the Thyestes Handicap Chase at Gowran Park on Thursday afternoon as the only 6-year-old in the race landed the feature event for trainer Gordon Elliott under a wonderful ride from Jack Kennedy.
This is not the first time the pair have teamed up to win the Thyestes but the icing on cake for the Cullentra trainer was the fact that Coko Beach was a maiden over fences before landing the prestigious race.
Sams Profile has also seen his odds tumble to win the Stayers’ Hurdle at Prestbury Park after landing Grade Two honours in the Galmoy Hurdle.
The Mouse Morris trained 7-year-old managed to make the most of the testing conditions at the County Kilkenny track and we have cut him into 33/1 from 66/1 to win the Stayers’ Hurdle in March.
