He has shared with us his Cheltenham Lucky 15 selections, including a 9/1 fancy in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle that could shock the field.

Power, a BoyleSports Horse Racing Ambassador, has seen it all at Prestbury Park and knows what it takes to win on the biggest stage. From a Champion Hurdle contender who could dethrone Constitution Hill to an each-way Gold Cup hope flying under the radar, his four picks could land a monster Lucky 15.

Countdown To The Cheltenham Festival

We're now less than three weeks away from the Cheltenham Festival and some jockeys, owners, and trainers are lucky enough to have horses going to Cheltenham. The preparation and build-up has started.

Henry de Bromhead’s Cheltenham Team

I think we'll have somewhere between 18 and 20 runners there spread across the week.

Hopefully, we'll have some nice chances with horses that want better ground and some who prefer softer ground. The ground will be what it will be, but we're looking forward to it.

Supreme Novices’ Hurdle Tip – Watch Out For This de Bromhead Horse

We've got a nice horse called Workahead running in the Supreme. His form looks strong. He was very impressive in winning a maiden at Punchestown and that's been given a boost with William Munny winning today (Thursday). He'll be one with a chance.

Gold Cup & Ryanair Chase Tips

Monty's Star has an each-way chance in the Gold Cup as well.

There are a few also in with a chance in the Ryanair. Envoi Allen , Heart Wood and Jungle Boogie are all possibilities in the Ryanair, so we've got a nice team of horses spread across the four days.

Robbie Power’s Cheltenham Festival Lucky 15 Tips

I'll go with value and say Workahead in the Supreme, Brighterdaysahead in the Champion Hurdle, Fact To File if he runs in the Ryanair and The Big Westerner in the Albert Bartlett.

If there is one horse I could race across the whole week, it would be Galopin Des Champs .

The Gap Between The British & Irish Is Changing

The gap is definitely closing. I think Dan Skelton has a very good team going to Cheltenham this year and so does Nicky Henderson with Constitution Hill and Jonbon in two of the feature races. If Nicky has a good week, the gap will definitely close.

Is It Good for the Festival?

Of course it is. One-sided domination in any sport is never good and we've seen at Cheltenham before everybody thinking Willie Mullins would go over and win everything but he ends up going into the third day without having a winner.

The one guarantee with the Cheltenham is that there are no certainties.

Constitution Hill & Galopin Des Champs To Become All-Time Greats With 2025 Cheltenham Festival Wins?

It definitely does for Galopin Des Champs . With Gerri Colombe being out for the season, this looks like the weakest of his three Gold Cups but in horse racing, you never know what can happen on the day.

Constitution Hill, for me, has to go to Cheltenham and do it again. I think he needs to prove himself again. He won at Kempton and it was a great training performance from Nicky to get him back after so long but Lossiemouth didn't show up despite finishing second and Burdett Road would have finished second if it wasn't for a bad mistake and he's only rated 144.

The international hurdle at Cheltenham on trials day was only a schooling race for him, so I think he needs to go and prove it on the big stage. He's fragile and has to prove himself. To be a great horse you have to have longevity and more than just one or two great performances.

That's what Best Mate and Arkle did and Constitution Hill needs to do it over a greater length of time.

Is Cheltenham Still the Holy Grail?

Cheltenham is the be-all and end-all. The Dublin Racing Festival suffers from Cheltenham a little bit as the likes of Henry, Gordon Elliott and Gavin Cromwell start their seasons a little bit earlier than Willie which means he has to use the Dublin Racing Festival as a stepping stone to Cheltenham.

That means the Dublin Racing Festival just isn't as strong as Henry's, nor is Gordon, who is not there with his big guns. It does suffer as they are all aiming for Cheltenham which is the be-all and end-all.

If an owner has a bad season but wins at Cheltenham, what's gone before is often forgotten about.
