Robbie Power’s Immediate Gold Cup Reaction

Day 4 of the Cheltenham Festival is coming to a close, and what a day we’ve had, especially for the Irish. 5 winners on the card already, but not the one we expected in the Gold Cup.

Inothewayurthinkin supplemented by JP McManus at the supplementary stage, has beaten 2x Gold Cup winner Galopin Des Champs . A brilliant performance from the winner. The ground may have been a little bit too quick for Galopin Des Champs, but take nothing away from Inothewayurthinkin, who was given a lovely ride by Mark Walsh, produced at the second last and galloped all the way up the hill for an emphatic win.

It has been a great day for Willie Mullins as well winning the Triumph Hurdle with a 100/1 shot having his first run over hurdles. I hope you backed it! Then following up in the County Hurdle with Kargese. And then Jasmin De Vaux getting the better of the favourite The Big Westerner in the Albert Bartlett.

It has been a Cheltenham Festival full of thrills and spills, and Inothewayurthinkin is definitely a star for the future.
