He gained a third chase success over fences at Cheltenham when winning in better style than the winning margin suggested on trials day and he’s proved hard to pass since switching to front-running tactics this season. His course and distance form could prove to be a key factor.

There were major signs of a return to form from Farouk D’alene at Leopardstown over Christmas and he may be capable of building on that and defying top weight in race two.
The Giggingstown owned contender was a Grade 2 winning chaser a couple of seasons ago before a big run in the 2022 Brown Advisory when travelling well before coming down two out. Staying tests on soft ground are the key to him and he’s well treated on old form.

After finishing runner-up in the Grade 2 mares’ bumper at Aintree last season, Golden Ace has improved to win two novice hurdles at Taunton this season.
She got the better of Lucky Place from Nicky Henderson’s yard on the first of those runs and that looks like a strong piece of form. She didn’t need to improve to win her latest start and there’s almost certainly more to come from this daughter of Golden Horn, particularly back on soft ground.

A good amateur jockey can be worth their weight in gold in these races and Harry Swan has made a really promising start to his career in recent seasons.
He takes the ride on Cool Survivor who ran a belter at the Dublin Racing Festival when last seen, staying on well from off the pace in a race that favoured those that were positioned more prominently. His best form is over further than that distance so this step back up in trip should suit and he also has a Listed win on heavy ground to his name; conditions won’t be an issue for him.
He’s feasibly treated on his peak form, despite him carrying 2lb more than he would in Ireland and he’ll be doing his best work in the finish when others may be faltering.
