Triumph Hurdle Tips & Preview - 1.30 pm
There has to be a few doubts about the wellbeing of Sir Gino with the yard failing to fire this week and several of Nicky Henderson’s runners being pulled out of proceedings.
The one to take him on with could be Kargese . She was a Grade 3 winner in France and was unlucky not to make a winning start for Willie Mullins when runner-up in a Grade 2 at Leopardstown over Christmas. However, she gained compensation at the Dublin Racing Festival when last seen and in receipt of the 7lb mares’ allowance, she should be firmly in the mix.
County Handicap Hurdle Tips & Preview - 2.10 pm
King Of Kingfield ’s Dublin Racing Festival form could not have worked out any better with Slade Steel winning the Supreme on Tuesday and Ballyburn winning the Baring Bingham.
Gordon Elliott’s charge is going to take some beating back down in class off a mark of 140 and we already know he’ll relish the testing ground.
Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle Tips & Preview - 2.50 pm
Another horse that looked like a top prospect at the Dublin Racing Festival is Dancing City . He took a major step forward from his maiden hurdle success to win the stayers’ race for novice hurdlers and there didn’t appear to be any fluke about that effort, forced to give up the lead before batting on gamely, with two nice prospects in behind.
While he’s not the yard’s first-string, he looks likely to improve for the step up in trip and it’s hard to see him out of the first three.
Cheltenham Gold Cup Tips & Preview - 3.30 pm
Last year’s winner, Galopin Des Champs, has obvious claims but at an each-way sort of price, The Real Whacker might be able to outrun his odds.
He showed signs of a revival in the Cotswold Chase last time out and he may be able to get into a good jumping rhythm out front. If he does get any sort of easy lead, he may be able to hang around for a place.
St James’s Place Hunter Chase Tips & Preview - 4.10 pm
Last year’s winner, Premier Magic , appears to have been overlooked in the market in his bid for back-to-back renewals. He arrived on the back of point wins last year and proved the win was no fluke by following up at the Hunter Chase meeting at Cheltenham in May. He’s unbeaten since and may be hard to kick out of the frame.
