Ajax To Draw With Benfica And BTTS

Ajax To Draw With Benfica And BTTS @ 16/5

European aristocrats Ajax and Benfica have won six European Cup titles between them, but the chances of them adding to that tally this season look beyond remote. Ajax currently prop up the table after being swept aside by Inter (2-0), Marseille (4-0), Chelsea (5-1) and Galatasaray (3-0), and their overall form, which now stands at six defeats and one win in nine matches, cost boss John Heitinga his job before the international break.

Benfica haven’t had much to shout about in Europe either. They are only above Ajax on goal difference, and with Napoli, Juventus and Real Madrid to come, Jose Mourinho’s side look dead and buried.

Galatasaray To Beat Union St Gilloise With Over 2.5

Galatasaray To Beat Union St Gilloise With Over 2.5 Goals @ 13/10

Galatasaray will hope to take another step closer to the last 16 with victory over Union St Gilloise in a clash between two sides whose Champions League campaigns could not be more different. Union, making their debut in the competition proper, stunned 1988 champions PSV Eindhoven 3-1 away in their opening match but have since lost 4-0 to both Newcastle and Inter Milan and 3-1 at Atletico to sink to 28th spot.

Gala, in stark contrast, were thrashed 5-1 by Eintracht Frankfurt in their opener but have since reeled off three successive wins to climb to ninth.

Bodo/Glimt To Draw With Juventus And BTTS

Bodo/Glimt To Draw With Juventus And BTTS @ 16/5

Qualifiers Bodo/Glimt kicked off their league campaign with 2-2 draws against Slavia Prague and Tottenham, but have lost both matches since and now face a daunting task to continue in the competition.

As well as hosting Juventus, the Norwegian champions complete their league stage with games against Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Atletico.

Juve’s season makes satisfying viewing for fans of patterns if nothing else (WWW-DDDDD-LLL-WW-DDD), but most of their games have been close - only three have finished with more than a one-goal margin - so we’re not expecting an away rout tomorrow.

Borussia Dortmund To Beat Villarreal

Borussia Dortmund To Beat Villarreal @ 4/5

Dortmund have had a decent start, their only defeats in 17 matches being at Bayern Munich and Manchester City, but a habit of conceding late goals has cost them a number of points. That was once again the case in their last two matches, with Hamburg and Stuttgart both netting 90th-minute equalisers, and Nico Kovac will need to solve that issue as they look to add to their seven-point Champions League haul.

Villarreal are third in LaLiga, two points off leaders Real Madrid, but are finding life in Europe much tougher, with just one point from four games, leaving them in 32nd place.

Napoli To Beat Qarabag 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1

Napoli To Beat Qarabag 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 @ 19/10

Qarabag will aim to continue an impressive debut Champions League campaign against a Napol side still searching for top gear.

The Azerbaijani champions qualified for the league stage with five wins out of six and have since added the scalps of Benfica and Copenhagen, as well as a draw with Chelsea, to sit handily on seven points.

That is three more than Napoli have managed despite what some might consider a favourable fixture list, with the Scudetto holders down in 24th place and in need of a win.
