BoyleSports Champion Plate Favourites
Born Braver – 5/1
The early favourite for the BoyleSports Champion Plate is Born Braver for trainer Jennifer O’Donnell.
The June 2023 son of Here Comes Syd and Westpoint Jorgi is 9 races into his racing career and currently has 3 wins, 2 runner-up finishes 3 third-place runs. Though lightly raced, the dog clearly has bundles of ability as shown by his 28.38 win over the 525-yard trip at Clonmel last month.
A dog for the future, but at odds of 5/1, I think he’s too short in the market to consider.
Born Braver to win - 5/1

Snazzy Boss – 5/1
Next in the betting for the BoyleSports Champion Plate is Snazzy Boss for trainer Graham Holland.
The April 2023 son of Pat C Sabbath and Hollywell Samba debuted in the Open Unraced at Clonmel back in January, winning in 28.73. Though he was knocked out in the semi-final, his best performance was when he won his Produce Stakes semi-final in 28.23, though in the final he finished last.
Another dog for the future, but at odds of 5/1, he’s far too short for me.
Snazzy Boss to win - 5/1

Hello Diego – 6/1
Third favourite is Hello Diego, who is trained by Paul Hennessy.
The October 2022 son of Jaytee Yankee and Darver Bridie has already had a big win in his career when he won the 2025 Maidan Derby at Towcester. Showing strong staying ability early days, he’s recently been put over the 750-yard trip at Shelbourne also.
If he can emulate anything like the 28.93 he did at Towcester in Shelbourne Park, the odds of 10/1 represent value in the market.
Hello Diego to win - 10/1

Ballymac Jester – 6/1
Fourth favourite is Ballymac Jester for trainer Liam Dowling.
The May 2023 son of Ballymac Wild and Jamaica Joy has been lightly raced since debuting in Tralee last February. Though he only has 2 wins from his first 8 races, his latest run was a sensationally quick 28.20 at Shelbourne Park.
Has yet to show his true ability in races, but has a big chance in this competition.
Ballymac Jester to win - 6/1

Ballymac Tibet– 8/1
Rounding off the market leaders is Ballymac Tibet, which is also trained by Ballymac Tibet.
The August 2023 son of Ballymac Best and Ballymac Minton has 2 wins, 1 runner-up finish and 2 third-place results from his opening 10 races. Interestingly, Tibet’s most impressive performances have come in defeat, most recently clocking 29.09 in third place in the Derby Plate at Towcester.
A dog to keep onside in the market.
Ballymac Tibet - 12/1
