BoyleSports is backing the Irish Ladies Team of the Irish Pool Association as they prepare to break off in the 2024 World Eightball Pool Championships in Blackpool from Monday the 17th to Thursday the 27th of June.
BoyleSports Backing Irish Ladies Pool Team
The BoyleSports logo will adorn the polo shirts of the girls in green as they take on the world’s best at the coastal seaside resort, bidding to taste similar success to last year’s representatives in Morocco.
Ireland narrowly missed out on the last four in the main team event in 2023, but they embraced the inaugural shootout competition when they overcame hosts Morocco in the final to be crowned the first Ladies World Team Shootout champions.
BoyleSports will be keeping a close eye on one of its Mullingar shop employees Gemma Masterson, who joins Mary Duffy, Sandra Bryan, Angela Briggs, Mary Devine and Jannette Jackson, along with their manager Michael Scally, in flying the flag for the Irish at this year’s event at Blackpool’s Grand Hotel.
Sharon McHugh, Head of PR and Sponsorship, BoyleSports, said:
“We are delighted to support the ambitions of the Ladies Pool Team and recognise the fantastic work they do to inspire growth and participation in the sport. There may be some rollercoaster rides ahead for our colleague Gemma and the girls in Blackpool, but we hope they can hit new heights and come home as world champions!”
Mary Duffy from the Irish Pool Association added:
“It’s amazing to have such a big name backing us, so we send a huge thank you to BoyleSports and hope their support gives us just the boost we need to get our hands on the trophy.”
