The Northern Irishman, 30, is in confident mood going into the fight, having last won back in August against TJ Doheny in WBA Interim World Title victory. He's also recorded eight knock-outs in 16 fights he's won since 2016.
Conlan, quoted in the press, said: "It’s my destiny, I know. I’ve just got to go in and realise that and live that dream which I’ve been feeling and saying for a long time."
"I believe I’ll go in there and win comfortably but I’ve still got to go in and do that. That’s all it is. I’ve got to go in and put in my performance and walk out world champion. It’s been a long time coming. I’ve been a world champion in waiting."

The bout is expected to go a good distance, with 12 rounds all set - and we've got the latest odds on Conlan winning in rounds 6-12 below. What do you reckon? Click the image and place your bet!
Wood is 11/8 to win the fight, while the draw is 22/1. The 33-year-old, fighting in his home city, dreams of fighting one day at Nottingham Forest Football Club's City Ground stadium.
This will be his first defence of the WBA Featherweight title having beaten China's Xu Can last summer. His professional record to date stands at 25-2, and even though Conlan's unbeaten since turning pro himself just over five years ago, this will be a step up against Wood.
